Let me do some checking.  The --nogpgcheck was just a work around that I was 
hoping
would clear things up.

It may take a bit of time as it is late in my day.

But, what is the output of....

rpm-gpg]$ rpm -qa gpg-pubkey* | grep 12c944d0

No sudo needed for that.
