The fact that there were duplicate packages installed means that the update could have been left in an incomplete state for another package. So, you are probably right to re-install to be sure everything is correct, and it is certainly easier than looking for the error. But it might be that the update interrupt isn't the problem, and there is a bug in pipewire for your system.
