In gnome, I click the little network? symbol in the upper right corner of the
display, just left of the speaker symbol. In the little box that comes up,
from top to bottom, there is
* a volume slider,
* "Wired Connected >",
* "Settings >", and
* "Power Off / Log Out >".
I click the "Wired Connected >". That brings up a submenu of 4 choices:
* "em1",
* "Profile 1",
* Turn Off", and
* "Wired Settings".
I pick "Wired Settings". Here are the results:
