OK, thanks! I have subfolders inside my Mail directory as follows:

Mail/inbox
Mail/Sent
Mail/Drafts
Mail/research
Mail/research/user1
Mail/research/user2

etc, so my real question is with Mail/research which has both mail messages as 
well as a sub-folder inside. Of course, I can change it but wanted to also know 
if that is possible to have  both messages and subfolders with mutt (say) and 
Maildir.
