It is useful to have a USB wifi dongle for times like this.   Are you in a
location (high density)
with crowded wifi spectrum?  Consider electrical power issues such as a big
load (refrigeration,
HVAC) and overheating (warm weather, accumulated dust on cooling vents and
fins).  Do you
own the wifi router or is it supplied by your internet provider (subject to
stealth upgrades)?
