New installation of Fedora 32 Root login works
useradd foo passwd foo work as expected; in particular the password is verified "switch user" from the logout dropdown the new user is displayed, password accepted screen blacks and we're back to the login If I use 'no password' for foo, I don't get a password prompt on the login page, but the behavior is the same.
