Though, if you have a specific need, sometimes it is a good idea to
specify them.  Defaults can change.  Or defaults applied by
distribution-installed config files might not be the same defaults used
by an application in the absence of said config file.  And if you use
multiple distros, it's easier than remembering each's quirks.
