somehow (and i don't know how), while messing with settings, i
activated some sort of high contrast setting wherein, for example, the
title bar on my terminal windows is black and white, and a number of
the icons under "Activities" are also now black and white.

  i'm trying to figure out how to turn this off, and can't find the
option for that. thoughts?
