I heard from someone that all new Canon laser printers should support driverless operation, and I then asked on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/ask/questions/TxGO0Y996KBMWV/ref=ask_dp_lsw_al_hza?asin=B07QBR85G6 and got a response back from Canon officially plus two other semi-helpful people saying it works for them (plus, it being the Internet, two people who for some reason went out of their way to write that they have no idea).
