Hello,
I am trying to access to my Android (8.1.0, kernel 4.4.95+) through the USB
cable, but I fails.
Using sshfs, it works fine:
sshfs pdupre@192.168.1.15:/storage/emulated/0 -p 2222 /home/pdupre/Android
and I get all the hierarchy
Now through the USB cable, I can see the Android:
It is mounted as A20Pro
I can umount, but the Folder is empty
If I try:
ls /var/run/user/1000/gvfs/mtp\:host\=Blackview_A20Pro_BVA20Pro0008811/
it is also empty
If I try to edit something, I get
touch: cannot touch
'/var/run/user/1000/gvfs/mtp:host=Blackview_A20Pro_BVA20Pro0008811/test':
Permission denied
lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0e8d:2008 MediaTek Inc. A20Pro
I use fedora 30
Hi Patrick,
FC 30 here too
I have found that the only reliable file manger that works with
my Androids is Nautilus.
Also, when you plug you USB cable in, yo have to tell your Android
what kind of device it is to present to the other end of the
cable. Sometimes you get the choice of Mass Storage and sometimes
you get MTP device. Nautilus is the only one that I have found
that works reliably with MTP
