Ah, I see. The Fedora package maintainer would like the problem fixed in the font itself, not as a one-off patch. That makes sense -- that way it gets fixed for everyone in the world, not just Fedora. However, it looks like that project might be dead upstream? That is, it never migrated from Debian's old tracker to the new one, and the mailing list for it https://alioth-lists.debian.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cjkunifonts-devel does not seem to exist either.
