maybe "hdparm security erase" is an option (don't know if disk content is afterwards still recoverable)

(time: 500 GB 112 min) I'm not quit sure, but I mean I did "security erase" with one of the Samsung HDD tools too - Samsung HDD Utility(HUTIL ? or - Samsung ESTOOL ?)
