I think that makes since when it's for a customer and you want to ensure
they don't have any problems because that costs you, but SSD's are still
too expensive to throw away 50% of the capacity for me.

I did a little research last time (I believe it was you) it was mentioned
and while there are a lot of opinions the google consensus I found was that
they already reserve some space from the factory but that reserving an
additional 15% was sufficient to allow the wear leveling algorithms to work
efficiently.
