What appears below is *NOT* an X config file!   It is the settings for the
"nvidia-settings" Utility!

You went to the last line on the left hand side of the Utility which reads
"nvidia-settings Configuration" and not the second line on the Utility which 
reads
"X Server Display Configuration"!!

That is because it isn't what I've asked of you.  And, I thought my 
instructions and
examples were clear, but you are *creating* a 98-monitor.conf.
