What appears below is *NOT* an X config file! It is the settings for the "nvidia-settings" Utility! You went to the last line on the left hand side of the Utility which reads "nvidia-settings Configuration" and not the second line on the Utility which reads "X Server Display Configuration"!! > > # > # /home/testuser/nvidia-settings-rc > # > # Configuration file for nvidia-settings - the NVIDIA X Server Settings > utility > # Generated on Mon Aug 20 21:29:02 2018 > # > > # ConfigProperties: > > RcFileLocale = C > DisplayStatusBar = Yes > SliderTextEntries = Yes > IncludeDisplayNameInConfigFile = Yes > ShowQuitDialog = Yes > UpdateRulesOnProfileNameChange = Yes > Timer = Memory_Used_(GPU_0),Yes,3000 > Timer = Thermal_Monitor_(GPU_0),Yes,1000 > Timer = PowerMizer_Monitor_(GPU_0),Yes,1000 > > # Attributes: > > testlaptop.test.domail:1.0/LogAniso=0 > testlaptop.test.domail:1.0/FSAA=0 > testlaptop.test.domail:1.0/TextureClamping=1 > testlaptop.test.domail:1.0/FXAA=0 > testlaptop.test.domail:1.0/FSAAAppControlled=1 > testlaptop.test.domail:1.0/LogAnisoAppControlled=1 > testlaptop.test.domail:1.0/OpenGLImageSettings=1 > testlaptop.test.domail:1.0/FSAAAppEnhanced=0 > > Doesn't seem to have a monitor section, but this may be because it's a laptop > so > the nVidia and Intel gfx are interconnected, I also don't have a > 98-monitor.conf file. That is because it isn't what I've asked of you. And, I thought my instructions and examples were clear, but you are *creating* a 98-monitor.conf. -- Conjecture is just a conclusion based on incomplete information. It isn't a fact.
