FWIW, the gcc update on my system happened on 2/7

For nvidia you can run....

/sbin/akmodsbuild --target x86_64 --kernels `uname -r` 
/usr/src/akmods/nvidia-kmod.latest

Which will create a kmod-nvidia-4.15.3-300.fc27.x86_64-390.25-3.fc27.x86_64.rpm 
and
you can either use "dnf reinstall"  or use rpm to install with the --force.
