Hi. the problem is solved, now, by using of a different vweb camera :-). . However, I read at http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/html_single/Webcam-HOWTO/#HARDWARE, that to use a Web camera need to exist a video device in /etc directory... (/ dev / video0). In my previous attempts I tried this way without success ..., and now I can also see that the web camera works perfectly even without the video node (the file / dev / video0).
I understand what are the device nodes, and now, I would like to understand because the web camera it can work without this file (i.e I'd like to understand how things go exactly.). Any help to understand this matter will be appreciated.
