Thanks for the pointer. My bug seems to be a bit more, uhm, extreme than yours (whole bloody windows flashing, cursors bouncing back and forth...no pointer trails though), but that was the next step...putting in an nVidia card. Actually, the machine I'm writing this on has an nVidia in it (for Cuda development), although I'm using the Intel video right now: [root@prophead ~]# lspci ... 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06) ... 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GF110 [GeForce GTX 580] (rev a1) ... I'll have to make a trip to Fry's this weekend, I guess. In the mean time, I'll just have to live with it.
