Unless your harddrive is suffering repeated data corruption, I can't imagine that reinstalling the same drivers over and over is *actually* doing anything about the problem. And I can't imagine why a power failure would be the cause of that. The files read for supporting the hardware were read at boot time, and thereafter held in memory.
