You could always set up the account as a second email account using IMAP, 
download all the messages and then move them across to your POP based account. 
Or if it were me I'd restructure my IMAP account to use the folder settings I 
was using under POP and revert to using that. I use offlineimap and notmuch to 
also store local copies of my mail if needed.
