Do we have repair tools for LVM yet?

Not that I'd really expect drive repair tools to be much use at
repairing an encrypted drive, whether using LVM or not. :-\ But lack
of them was an issue about using LVM, in the ordinary way.

I'm still scratching my head as to whether I can do an upgrade
installation onto an encrypted drive. If I yank the drive, connect it
to another PC, type in the password when it tries to mount it, that
fails.
