Yea, I guess that file gets the "device" name correct, but there may
also be things recording the MAC address somewhere else. I know
it is in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file, but
I don't know if NetworkManager may have it stashed somewhere else
as well. You could try editing the ifcfg-eth0 and changing it
to show the right hardware address, or maybe you could run
system-config-network and just delete eth0, then re-create it.
