Hi
In general, if your device support GSM AT commands it will usually work
with kannel. Check with the manufacturer of your dongle.
There are some issues with multi-modem/multi-sim devices where you need to
specify to which port/sim/modem you are sending the sms to. There was a
code modification on the mailing list some time ago for that.
Also some nokia phones were known by not supporting CNMI command. This
command allows modem/phone to forward MO to kannel port. They can anyway
work with kannel by setting it us to periodically check for MO on the phone.
Don't forget that even though it may support GSM AT commands, if there is
no driver for linux, it will never be seen by kannel.
