Hi,

There have been reports that if using the same sqlbox-id as account from smppbox, sqlbox will forward MOs & DLRs to smppbox, and smppbox to the respective client. Clearly this is limitted to only 1 client and I have not tried it myself. Sqlbox doesn't have bb's routing capabilities and in general you might get into trouble if you get too deep.

Hi Nikos,

What if the SMPPBox is connected to SQLBox, would the smsbox-route be
to the SQLBox? And will the SQLBox route it to the SMPPBox? (I am more
thinking in terms of DLRs)

Hi,

If you read the SMPPbox manual, every SMPP client connects to it with
different accounts specified in clients.txt file. system-type (or system-id,
I don't remember) should include a unique name that identifies the client
and is configured in the smsbox-route of the very first in the path
bearerbox. This way, bb knows where to which smppbox it should route it, and
from there smppbox knows to which client.

Subject: SMPP Box Question

Hi All,

I have managed to come up with a set up SMSC(Telco) <---> Kannel(smpp
account from telco) <---- > SMPPBox ---- > SMPPBox client (another kannel)
set up.

However my question is if I have many smppbox clients (short codes), how do
I route SMSs(to and from) separately to each of these? I don't see where
to configure the short code in the smpplogins.txt or opensmppbox.conf.

And how do I connect sqlbox to smppbox?

Thanks,
Peter.
