Hello Dave,
out of the blue - TO-NAPID may be the APN (access point name) for the GPRS/UMTS Attach. Some providers bill different APN's differently.

Adrian,
Thanks a lot for your help. I:
- added the bootstrap characteristic - changed to oma-settings - added sec=userpin
and the settings got to my phone, asked for the PIN, accepted 1234, then saved the settings, recognising them as synchronisation settings for my Contacts. THis is a major step forward for me, and thanks for that.
My new issue is that, when I attempt to sychronise, I get the message on the handset: "Data transfer not possible. Check data connection"
I think this must be related to the value of TO-NAPID which I set to INTERNET, but I don't really know what this is. When my phone is trying to synch, I see no hits (or errors) on the website I gave as the synch server. The handset can access the same site fine if I use the Nokia browser. It is as if the phone is trying to get to the synch server using some other means. I've tried with and without the 'http://' on the ADDR. I've also tried with and without the port number tagged on to the URL. (port is the default 80) |
