Some times SMSC gives the error like that.I experienced the same...

 

You can do one thing delete that short code (LA) from SMSC and recreate the same...It should work.

I have an SMPP issue when i conneting to my real smsc . My real smsc is logica sms gateway. I'm using latest stable version(1.4.0) of kannel to connect with the logica smsc.

 

my smpp conf as follows,

 

group = smsc
system-type = "xxx"
interface-version= 3.4
smsc-id = cool
smsc = smpp
host = logica server's ip
port = logica allowed port
smsc-username = "789"
smsc-password = smpp
keepalive = 2
connect-allow-ip = kannel running machines' ip

 

when i run the smskannel.conf with the beaerbox , it gives two errors saying ,

 

ERROR: SMPP[cool]: SMSC rejected login to transmit, code 0x0000000e (Invalid Password).

ERROR: SMPP[cool]: I/O error or other error. Re-connecting.

 

what could be the reason for first error ? in my configuration i have only 4 - charactors password , is that will be a problem ?

 

and what is the reason for the second error ?
