Thanks, I realise I could use the sendsms interface but I do not want to go down that road just yet. J I would not mind having a look at the java code you have though (in case my circumstances change).

Hi Brent,

there's a way that will let you have one code for sending throug the sendsms interface (instead of PPG). Although you'd still nedd special case code for generating the message. If you're going to use that approach you will concatenate a url including any of it's parameters. The slight difficulty is building a push SI, but code for that should already have been posted on this list. If you can't find it I could provide you with some java-code.

Other PPGs will send text/plain data as an SMS…I’d prefer not to have to write special case code for speaking to Kannel but it looks like I’m going to have to :-/
