Baden, EMS is supposed to be an standard, so all manufacturers _should_ use the same headers.
I've never tried with vCards and vCals, but I did tested delivery for Ringtones and Logos and I've always used the same headers for all manufacturers (and it worked). EMS headers are somewhat cumbersome because they include content length and other "niceties", but there are lots of info about it available on the internet. Try the NowSMS forums (there are some examples for RT's) or even the EMS consortium white pages (if you like the techie reading).
