This is the url , i used to send sms via Kannel . So that's mean i used kannel to send sms .
same way i used to send sms via GSM modem as well. no probs via GSM modem.

take attention on the field

this field will only accept octer format character.

u r trying to pass the text "hi" into a octer field.
that y your message will appear different at the
mobile phone because the "hi" are transformed into
octer format.

i dunno how u force the word "hi" into the
short_message field without transform it into octor
format, in my case kannel will auto help me to
transform the message into octor format, the only
advice i can give u is that stop whatever u r doing on
the passing message, and let the kannel do all the
work for u, u can try to use the fake smsc (provided
by the kannel when u install) to test your
configuration.
