Good Afternoon, Not sure if anyone can help.
I am running Apache Kafka kRaft 4.1.0 standalone with SSL enabled using a locally created CA and host signed certificate using that CA, certificates were created in OpenSSL and Keytool. When I configure Kafka kRaft it starts without issue, and then configure Kafka Connect using the file watcher plugin it works fine. If I then reconfigure Connect to use Debezium SQL Server 3.3.1 both Kafka kRaft and Connect start, I can list topics using an admin ssl properties file, and I can get basic Connect information using the certificate, key and ca cert. The issue arises when I do a curl post to deploy the sql connector. None of the topics are created and the Kafka kRaft log shows INFO [SocketServer listenerType=BROKER, nodeId=1] Failed authentication with /***.***.***.*** (channelId=***.***.***.***:9092-***.***.***.***:58854-1-114) (SSL handshake failed) (org.apache.kafka.common.network.Selector) I have tried numerous certificates and settings but always get this message with no further indication as to what could be causing the fault. Can you provide any suggestions? Regards Alex Vale Technical Services Analyst [cid:[email protected]]<https://www.cashfac.com/> M. +44 (0)7809 408818 E.
