Crashes again. [2017-09-11 18:26:44,386] FATAL [Kafka Server 0], Fatal error during KafkaServer startup. Prepare to shutdown (kafka.server.KafkaServer) kafka.common.KafkaException: Socket server failed to bind to hidden_ip:55091: Cannot assign requested address.
Maybe I can better clarify: This broker is setup on a remote node. The ip:port of this node are private so the cluster manager set a proxy to redirect requests to the private ip:port The hidden_ip:55091 I used actually are the public ip:port I use to access to the node which is then translated in the private ip:port in the proxy. Therefore I set advertised.listeners=PLAINTEXT://public_ip:55091 <plaintext://public_ip:55091> while listeners was commented in order to use the default value. Clearly I’m overwriting the errors with the word “hidden_ip" > On 11 Sep 2017, at 18:06, M.
