Jmxtrans should connect to the jmxremote port. 
Try to run "ps -aux |grep kafka", and find the process contain 
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port or not.
If not, try to edit "kafka-server-start.sh", add "export JMX_PORT=9999".
