Could not agree more Joe.  It would be terrific to see the complimentary 
Authorization requirements reach the development and release stages, do you 
have any insight into the trajectory for that effort?

As long as it has a way to cause no harm when it is off I believe it really
adds to the value Kafka brings to a number of organizations that can't use
Kafka just because of this one thing.

I am looking forward to being able to commit it to trunk.
