In http://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/upgrading.html there are some
useful info about what changed between 2.2 and 2.4, including for instance
some references about the new auth* modules (
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/howto/auth.html).

I believe that each configuration needs its own (possibly minimal) set of
modules, but there might be some space for improvement in our docs.
