We have configured Apache 2 as reverse proxy and Tomcat as servlet container.
We have configured mod_expiry as mentioned below.
LoadModule expires_module modules/mod_expires.so

ExpiresByType application/javascript M604800

By doing this we were able set expiry headers for all content residing in
Apache. However we were unable to configure expiry headers for content (like
images) coming via proxy (Tomcat).
