Thanks for your reply,

I tried it before, though I gave it a try once more as u shown but no
success yet. Here  I also need *Listen 443* directive in my  vhost
configuration file to start ssl. But as soon as I put the config for
another virtual host apache stops working.

I get an working solution from here

unfortunately some pages of one of my vhosts is not working any more
with this setup.
