Rewriterule doesn't process query strings. He needs a "RewriteCond
%{QUERY_STRING}"-type directive.

Try:
RewriteRule ^/abc\?id=(.*) /efg/$1
Well, actually maybe not. Because I think that the question mark and
query string (id=..") may not be part of what RewriteRule is comparing with.
But try it anyway ?
