Thanks salih, i added the directive <Directory "/user/lib/cgi-bin/mine"> AllowOverride AuthConfig </Directory> in config file after line: AccessFileName .htaccess, but now while accessing the same url i am getting the error as: [Tue Apr 22 14:11:28 2008] [alert] [client 127.0.0.1] /usr/lib/cgi-bin/mine/.htaccess: Invalid command 'AuthLDAPURL', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration though the command is correct. regards syed
