Sorry, mistake, they should read:
ProxyPass / ajp://tomcat_prod:8009/
ProxyPassReverse / ajp://tomcat_prod:8009/
Where the 2nd string passed the to the ProxyPassReverse directive matches
the one above it. In this case "ajp://tomcat_prod:8009/"
