I remember seeing about three years ago a website that
did this. They used their site scripts to do it. I
can't remember the url, but I'm pretty sure it was is
the browser headers that they pulled the client's
resolution to display the site for.
[ They used tables and specific pixel sizing in the
site. ]
it could have been a javascript to set the resolution
as the page was being rendered on the client side
though. [ which is silly, if the client doesn't have
javascript enabled the site would be useless ]
