Of course. When you type a servername into a browser, the first thing that happens is that the browser has to resolve it into an IP address. If it can't, you will get a "server not found". At this point, apache is not even aware you requested anything since the request never even left the browser. > > Anyhow, I have added a line in my /etc/hosts file and it worked ok.
