yes that is kind of the same thing we because jasper that we where building against takes 4.0.8 and that didn't work but we replaced it with the latest 4.0.x and it started working problem is that is not mentioned anywhere. Everything i can find is that java XX is supported to run from.. But nothing related to what the latest versions can be because of that ASM
