We also have nodetypes ours have single letter names and are selected by passing
a context with a list of acceptable nodetypes.  We set a default value for
this in the central jsv that excludes certain nodetypes that most people should
avoid.

Our JSV isn't too big.  It did once manage to trigger a bug in the perl 
switch module that needed a magic comment to fix through.
