Normally your cluster would have some PEs (parallel environments) set up.
Common ones are “smp” or “make”. You can use qconf –spl to list the ones
configured on your cluster.
A common commandline pattern for us is specifying cores like:
qsub –pe smp 6

    Hi all,

I have one multiple thread program using 6 threads. I want to submit
this program to a queue ( where the host has more than 6 cores). What
is the option I need to specify for the core number when submitting
the job to the queue? Thanks for your help.

    Best regards,
    Jin
