Thanks for the responses. We're at the point where we've been running SGE on a set of Redhat systems and we don't want to shell out the money for Redhat anymore. Since we run Debian on some other research and core network systems, it is our preferred choice. So that is the next distro we move to, but it isn't clear what fork of the SGE to move into. I have the feeling the Debian package would be going through a little upheaval when it switches to one of the forks. Yet I like working within the Debian package management.
