As far as I know, LibreOffice does not do OCR.
There are pay-for and free OCR programs depending on which operating
system you are using.
Online services are available.
Google: Docs will OCR but longer documents can be a problem.
Linux: tesseract is a free linux program:

Apple: I don't know enough to say.
Proofreading is always required until you are sure of the programs if
you are going to be serious.

I can't get along with the technology. My problem is a PDF open in the OCR. I
don't know how I can do it. Every time I have to use a foreign program that is
sometimes complicated. Do I have to buy a program or is it also possible with
yours? I would be grateful for a hint!
