I was doing a small presentation using LO Impress (Version below) and I
wanted to express ... not really a complaint, just an observation of a
quirk that is not what I expected. (I did do a search for any
discussions of this but couldn't find anything.) ((might be not enough
coffee))
My presentation is about 15 slides. At the bottom of each is a "Page X
of Y" to keep track. BUT, if I hide one of the slides, I get, the
expected "Y-1" as the total count but the page numbers don't alter, I
see the sequence, (as example) "1,2,3,5,8" (each one will say that
number "of 5" and it seems strange to me.
I think I'd express the opinion that the "Page" number represents the
"printed" or what would be visible in a presentation as pages but it
seems that the "Page" field is counting the *slides* instead.
If I have the sequence 1,2,3,4,5,6 and I hide slides 3 & 5. I'd expect
the sidebar to show me "1,2,..,3,...4" OR the page counter to read that
way but the slide numbers don't change.
If I've (yea, I know it is likely) repeated something already addressed,
please accept my apologies and let me know where I can read up on this
discussion to keep from making the same mistake in the future.
