I had to reinstall Ubuntu MATE 14.04 to a desktop [quad core] when the
16.04 upgrade failed. Then I ran these commands, since I wanted a newer
version of LibreOffice than 14.04 had in their repository.
sudo apt-get remove libreoffice?
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
After the commands finished, I installed LO 5.2.5. That is when I
noticed that the Formatting and Standard toolbars had all of black lines
[like center and align right] where actually white. I even installed a
different look with LO Theme in the Personalization options. Those
toolbars did not change from white color.
To be honest, I fixed the issue by renaming the LO .config folder and
then open LO again.
So the real question is has anyone seen this happen to a Linux install?

To hold off some questions, I do not think I will upgrade to Ubuntu MATE
16.04 anytime soon. I do not need to do this right now since the desktop
is being used as a file/data storage system and may be turned to a file
server.
