Yes there is - as it is the best way to encourage users from going from
a user to a contributor -- which is something that I wish happened a lot
more as our teams are stretched thin. At least 10 contributors
(including myself) became involved after joining the user list and
having someone "assist" me in becoming a contributor, then a "team
leader" and in two weeks a board member.
