Hi :)
I tend to think that it's worth starting off with the one from the repos 
because it's easier because it's already there.  However, if there is the 
slightest problem then getting the "upstream" one from the official LO website 
makes sense.  Also good to get the upstream one when a new version is released 
although i tend to do that once per branch and even skip entire branches 
completely quite often.
