I am using Libreoffice to write invoices.
I have a table with several fields that need to be formatted
as currency (SGD).
I basically re-use an older document to save as a new one.
Then I change the values.
Most of the time one of the following happens:
a) when I change just the numerical digits of the value,
the cell is no longer detected as numerical (and thus
counts as 0, detectable by the wrong sum in a SUM field
further down). It seems that it converts the old 'S$'
prefix found in the cell as text now.
b) the 'S$' prefix gets lost and the value stands naked.
Trying to correct this by selecting the value and
applying
Table/Number format/selecting 'SGD' and
pressing ENTER often does nothing.
Neither does selecting a different cell that still has the
correct format applied, selecting the brush and trying
to brush the format back into the cell that was screwed u.
It takes me usually several minutes to clean out the cells
and try to correct everything.
It gets worse when I need to add or delete a row from the
table and thus reapply the format to the new row or such.
Is there no way to 'fix' the format for those cells, so that
editing cannot screw up the format?
Currency formatting in LO seems to be really broken :(
I'm using
